Adirondack Guide Services
Licensed outdoor guide services can ensure a satisfying, safe Adirondack experience. Consider hiring a licensed guide to teach you about flora and fauna or map and compass skills, or to set up your backcountry camp. You may also hire a guide for a day boating out on the water, for fishing and hunting or in the winter backcountry skiing and snowmobiling. Many have special expertise, and some rent equipment.
Licensed outdoor guides must pass a New York State qualifying exam, have water safety and first aid certifications.
Leave No Trace and Love Your ADK
The magic of the Adirondacks is the result of previous generations taking a long view and protecting the mountains, lakes, and rivers within the Blue Line. That tradition continues today as we support and encourage everyone to practice Leave No Trace ethics, which help protect the lands and waters of the Adirondacks.
