Piseco - Arietta, NY
Piseco/Arietta is a quaint community that stretches around Piseco Lake. Over 95% of the town is New York State forest.
The town boasts its own airport complete with aviation gas service, a helipad, and a single runway. Every year a fly-in breakfast is held, where 500 – 700 folks come to have breakfast and look at the planes.
It is also the start and finish for the ever popular Piseco Lake Triathlon, held every July since 1985.

There are two NYS Public Campgrounds on the lake, testimony to how lovely and popular the area is. The campsites have boat launches, canoe rental, a free bathhouse and two beautiful sand beaches.
The 133-mile Northville-Placid Trail runs close to the shore of Piseco Lake, using the Post Office as a landmark. The trail is conveniently located near a general store and within walking distance to lodging.
The short, steep hike up Panther Mountain is worth the effort because of the expansive view of the lake. This is one of the most popular hikes in Hamilton County and hikers love the experience!
