Hiking Echo Cliff-Panther Mountain
The trail climbs steeply at first, then levels off before continuing uphill. Near the end, it gets steeper again before reaching the spectacular cliff views. As of recent years, some work has been done near the top to add stone staircases and waterbars. Be cautious near the edge on top! The open areas provide stunning views across Piseco Lake to Spy Lake and the Silver Lake Wilderness Area.
In the winter
This mountain receives use in the winter, and while good for snowshoeing, is not recommended for cross-country skiing. Be prepared for all winter conditions, and make sure you bring along microspikes since the steep parts may be icy.
