Located on picturesque Sacandaga Lake, the area is generally flat and well wooded with large white pines and hardwoods. There is an interpreter/activity program on site that will provide entertainment for kids.

Camping

Moffitt Beach Campground features 261 campsites (some designated as accessible for the mobility impaired), picnic area with tables and fireplaces (some designated as accessible for the mobility impaired), picnic pavilion rental, hot showers/flush toilets (one women's and one men's, designated as accessible for the mobility impaired), trailer dump station, recycling center, boat launch, sand beach, bathhouse, swimming area, firewood sales, and pay telephone.

3 miles to town of Speculator.

Cross-county skiing / snowshoeing

There is a 1 mile paved loop located in "Siberia" section, great for cross country skiing or snowshoeing. This loop is not groomed, but is usually heavily packed by users. A great place to bring your dog, and a great spot for a moonlight tour. This is a great loop for beginners, and it is not too long.
