Indian Lake Islands Campground

Camping on the Indian Lake Islands offers wild forest camping and some of the best recreational boating in the Adirondacks. The Indian Lake Islands Campground is located on the southern shore of 4,365 acre Indian Lake.

How to get there

From the town of Indian Lake, take Route 30 south about 12 miles to the campground on the left. Here, there is a boat launch you can use to access the islands and Indian Lake. The islands are boat access only.

Golden Beach State Campground

Located on the south shore of beautiful Raquette Lake, DEC's Golden Beach Campground offers 205 tent and trailer sites, picnic area with tables and fireplaces, flush toilets, hot showers, trailer dump station, recycling center, mobility impaired accessibility, sand beach, swimming area, bathhouse, and hiking trails.

Forked Lake Campground

Forked Lake Campground is surrounded by the Sargent Ponds Wild Forest and is located on the east shore of 1248 acre Forked Lake.

Campground Facilities

80 campsites in a well forested wilderness setting. Only 5 campsites are drive-up access. Most campsites are hike-in or boat access only. Campsites have picnic area with tables and fireplaces, pit toilets, boat launch, firewood sales, DEC canoe and boat rentals.
