On the shores of Raquette Lake sits the Golden Beach Campground and Day Use Area. Within this campground you will find Golden Beach Boat Launch which provides boating access to expansive 5,935-acre Raquette Lake. The shoreline of Raquette Lake is home to historic landmarks such as Great Camp Pine Knot (a.k.a. Camp Huntington), which was the first of the Adirondack Great Camps, and Historic Saint William's Church on Long Point (the original site of Durant, NY).
The Golden Beach Boat Launch is a beach launch and provides access for rowboats, canoes, kayaks, and smaller motor boats. For larger motor boats it is not recommended that you use a beach launch. A hard surface launch can be found within the hamlet of Raquette Lake.
The launch is accessible until the first snowfall. During the busy summer season, a small day use fee is required to access this launch and the amenities.
How to get there
