Winter Sports and Activities at Oak Mountain
Oak Mountain is home to 22 scenic trails, perfect for beginners to advanced skiers, a 650-foot vertical drop, and a 270-degree panoramic view from the summit at 2,400 feet. The resort features a quad chairlift that transports 3,000 skiers per hour, along with a magic carpet, two surface lifts, and a dedicated terrain park for snowboarders. For a more relaxed experience, enjoy the four-lane snow tubing hill, accessible by lift, and miles of snowshoeing trails.
Oak Mountain Ski & Snowboard School
Our Ski and Snowboard School is a standout feature, offering expert lessons for all ages and skill levels. The beginner-friendly “bunny hill” with a T-bar lift is the perfect place to start your snow adventures. Kids can also take advantage of the Learn to Ski or Ride Passport and Kids Ski or Ride Free Passport programs, which provide lift tickets, lessons, and equipment rental for just a $27 processing fee.
Year-Round Activities and Events
Oak Mountain isn't just for winter sports! During the warmer months, our Oak Mountain Bike Park features 9 trails, and the 18-hole Disc Golf Course offers fun for all ages. Our annual events, such as the New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade & Fireworks, Pond Skimming, and the Cardboard Box Races, bring excitement throughout the year. The Gravity East Mountain Bike races and Oak Trail Runner 5K & 10K races are also popular events that continue to grow each year.
Dining at the Acorn Pub & Eatery
After a day of outdoor adventures, unwind at the Acorn Pub & Eatery located inside the base lodge. Indulge in delicious Adirondack-inspired cuisine, including pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and daily specials. Enjoy a refreshing selection of seven handcrafted beers on tap. Don’t miss the "Mex Econo" menu on Thursday nights and the "Fish Camp" fish fry menu on Fridays.
