David Brooks is the Historic Site Assistant and Education Director at Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site, operated by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation. During his tenure there, he has conducted numerous programs, events, research projects, and presentations that highlight the history and recreational opportunities of Schoharie Crossing. Brooks is also a member of the board of Trustees for the Montgomery County Historical Society, for the Fulton County Historical Society, is a committee chair for the WEXT Radio Community Advisory Board and is a member of the WMHT Community Advisory Board. He is past president of the Mohawk Valley Museums Consortium and former trustee of the Palatine Settlement Society at the 1747 Nellis Tavern.
