RCIL Respite Care
Friday, January 1st, 2010The Resource Center for Independent Living (RCIL) has a free program in Inlet. Each Wednesday in the Senior Room at the Inlet Town Hall from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM, support programs and a lunch are provided for actively engaging adult members of our surrounding area. Many volunteers have come in to help give some respite for caregivers.
The RCIL’s adult day program is designed to improve the quality of life for adults of all ages facing disabilities including physical limitations, developmental disabilities, mental retardation, Alzheimer’s and other dementias, as well as to provide respite for overburdened families.
If you know of a family or community member who could benefit from programs such as computer skills, crafts, arts, games, or relaxing conversation with professional practitioners in a warm large dynamic and comfortable setting, please let us know and we will welcome new members to our program.
Many other caregiver services and free transportation for individuals can also be arranged.
