For 150 years the Inlet area has been a favorite place for sportsmen to hunt in the Adirondack Park.  Inlet is surrounded by millions of acres of state owned land.  Hunting in Inlet (with a NYS license) is a multi-season and multi-species sport.  Many sportsmen arrive before the regular big game season for muzzle loading, bow hunting and early bear season.  Whitetail deer are plentiful, and small game is also abundant here.  Duck, turkey and snowshoe hare are just a sample.

Licenses are available at the Inlet Department Store/ACE Hardware 315-357-3636.  Non-resident hunters must hold a hunting license in their home state or a hunting safety certificate in order to purchase a NYS hunting license.
