Dedication for Earl G. Burth

The Town of Inlet is pleased to announce that a bronze loon statue will be dedicated in Arrowhead Park on

Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 1:00pm

This statue has been donated to the Town of Inlet in honor Earl C. Burth by his daughter Jacklyn and her husband Paul Kolwaite.  Titled “First Born” this beautiful piece of art weighs approximately 650 pounds and will be places on a large stone at the entrance to Arrowhead Park.

Earl Burth, longtime resident of Inlet and Town Councilman for several terms. Just a great guy!!!!!

All are welcome to attend!

New York State Muzzleloaders Association’s Primitive Rendezvous

New York State Muzzleloaders Association’s Primitive Rendezvous (Columbus Day Weekend) The rendezvous is 100% primitive, and only people dressed in period clothing and using period tents are allowed in. If you do not camp primitive, you can visit on Saturday & Sunday of the event. The visitation day will involve shooting demonstrations and other promotional activities. Champagne Bus (New Year’s Eve)

Champagne Bus (New Year’s Eve)  A safe way to bring in the New Year and enjoy the parties at participating establishments.  The bus runs from 8:00 PM – 2:00 AM, making stops in 2009/2010 at Seventh Lake House, Drake’s Inn, The Ole Barn, Matt’s Draft House, Red Dog Tavern, The Woods Inn, The Tavern & Eagle’s Nest.  The bus is free to ride, and is paid for by the participating establishments.  Contact Ted Payne’s Bus Service for more information 315-357-6642 or tpbus@frontiernet.net

Frozen Fire & Lights

Frozen Fire & Lights (Saturday of the Sled Dog Races)  Bring the family for a full day of fun!  Bonfire & treats at Fern Park beginning at noon. As always, there is free sledding, ice skating, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.  Then join us at Arrowhead Park after 5:00 PM for a much larger bonfire, free hot dogs, donuts & cocoa and a spectacular display of fireworks at 7:00 PM.  2010 poster

Adirondack Bank Sled Dog Races

Adirondack Bank Sled Dog Races (third weekend in February)  The Inlet Area Business Association, with help from the New England Sled Dog Club, brings sled dog racing to Inlet.  The New York State Sled Dog Championship is held on trails behind Murdock Trucking on Limekiln Road.  Races run Saturday and Sunday.  There is a dog yard set up near the Start/Finish line where you can meet the dogs and talk with their owners.  Lots of fun!  Watch a video from 2008 races: Part 1 Part 2
