The Inlet Area Business Association has put together a Fact Sheet explaining some of the things they have been considering involving food trucks in Arrowhead Park. Read the pdf here: IABA Food Truck Fact Sheet
The Inlet Town Board will hold a special meeting on May 24, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the Inlet Town Hall to discuss food trucks and anything else that might come before the board.
The Inlet Veterans (Post #1402) are seeking to significantly rehabilitate the Veterans Memorial in front of the Town Hall in the hamlet of Inlet. The existing stone marker which was installed over 50 years ago is in a very sad state and does not sufficiently honor the men and women who have served their country and the Adirondacks.
The proposed Inlet Veterans Memorial will honor all six services: Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marines. Each service will have a separate marker and flag surrounding an Adirondack-style gazebo.
The total cost of this project is $28,400 and the Inlet American Legion is seeking to raise at least half of the funds through donations to this project. They aim to raise at least $5,000 on Adirondack Gives. Click here to help them.
The project will be located in front of the Inlet Town Hall in Arrowhead Park. The Town of Inlet is currently implementing a revitalization project at Arrowhead and the Veterans Memorial will mark a substantial contribution to the overall appearance and attractiveness of the Park, as well as honoring service members.

Town of Inlet to hold Informational Meeting on Proposed Changes to Inlet’s Sign Law – 6:00 p.m. on May 25, 2016 at Inlet Town Hall.
Inlet’s Town Comprehensive Plan charges the Planning Board with (among other tasks) maintaining and improving the character and image of Inlet.
Due to a proliferation of temporary signs, flags and banners over recent years, improper or excessive signage at some locations and complaints about these situations the Planning Board has undertaken a review of the Signs section of the Inlet Zoning Laws.
The current Signs law does not allow the use of ANY temporary sign boards, sandwich boards, flags or banners but given their proliferation the Planning Board has determined that allowing these uses within certain limits must be addressed.
Please give us your thoughts and consider attending a public meeting on these potential changes scheduled for May 25, 2016, 6:00 p.m. at Inlet Town Hall.
All of Inlet’s Zoning Laws are available at Town Hall and are also easily accessible online here.
